    This nice sized fragment (3 3/8" x 2" by 5/8" thick and weighs 9.8 ounces) of an artillery shell was found along the Fairfield Road at the site of the First Day's Battle at Gettysburg. The site was close to the location of Herr Ridge and the golf course and the relic was found on private property with permission. A provenance letter will be included.
