It defaults to power mode, with maximum sensitivity to help ensure operators are protected against injury from electrical cables. Automatic controls and combined Auto mode, plus the i-Series' digital signal processing and intelligent software, combine to offer precise, reliable utility positioning to avoid damaging underground installations during excavation projects. LED signal strength display gives peak reading when unit is directly over service. Add a compatible signal transmitter or sonde to estimate the depth of buried utilities up to 10 ft. underground.
